A night with friends and major demolition!

Friday night we went out with friends. It was time to say good-bye to some friends of ours, Marcy and Zack, who moved to Switzerland yesterday. While there, Julia helped get Josie to sleep by walking her back and forth in the restaurant in her stroller. It was so great to see our San Jose friends again, we don't get to see them nearly enough.

The next day Alex started to change the plumbing for our new laundry room. He was a stud! He made the cold and hot water connections for the washing machine and utility sink, as well as moved the drain. He worked pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday. My dad came over on Sunday to help Alex, and just to give him someone to hang out with while doing all the work. Thanks for your help dad! Maybe we'll see you next weekend when Alex says he might start erecting the laundry room wall? Any other takers? just kidding...

Soft bunny chair

Josie likes her new pink bunny chair.

Our friend Karen came to visit us on Sunday, with Benjamin. We missed getting a photo of Benjamin with Josie.

The latest thing Josie can do is wave. If you wave to her, she'll wave back - if she is in the mood to show off that is.

Great Grandma

On Friday, I took Josie to visit her Great Grandma. We had a very nice visit, and the other seniors who live in her senior home really enjoyed seeing a baby as well. Josie got lots of attention from the old ladies and the men too! Josie is her 18th great-grandchild.

This little girl holding Josie is my cousins daughter, Alexis. So her and Josie are second cousins. She is 10 and absolutely loved holding and feeding Josie her bottle.

Goodbye nasty, old, aluminum, inefficient, dirty & ugly 8 foot slider!!!

Before and after. I don't think they meant for those doors to ever come out when they put them in 40 years ago. It proved quite a job! We removed the moving door alright, but the stationary side.....uh....it shattered during the removal process. Yeh....that wasn't fun. This is cool though because we are now able to visualize what our house is going to really look like after this is all done. Can't wait! Too bad I have to.

Josie reading "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See"? ..."I see a red bird looking at me". Sorry, I can't say the first line without the second, and the third and so on. I can recite all animals of that book in order now. Anyway, about the picture -when I took this picture I was trying to get a shot of Josie actually looking at the book. But, this little girl hears the camera open and Miss Nosey Josie looks to find it, making it very hard to take pictures of her without her knowing and looking at the camera.

A day with the fam!

On Sunday our whole family went to a Spaghetti Feed at the Columbo Club in Oakland. The Columbo Club is an Italian club for men. My dad is a member there, and that's pretty special considering there is a 5 year wait list. They had a family night which was pretty much for kids, and it was a good time. We'll definetly go back next year!

My nephews: Garrett & Josh with candy from the pinata. Look at Jake's smile, cute huh? (Sorry Joey, I missed getting a picture of you).

Josie enjoying Nonu time! Me with my only neice Rachel.

Overdue house update..

We had the addition to our house stuccoed awhile ago, and we never posted pictures. So, here you can see our new stucco. The holes on either side of the slider are for outdoor lights.

This picture here is of our insulation. ooooh....aahhhh...., but more importantly it's a picture of Alex and our buddy Mark's hard work. On SuperBowl Sunday they insulated the ceiling and put up the sheet rock. Thanks again Mark! We have a taper coming on Monday afternoon, so Alex needs to get all the walls sheet rocked before then.
