A site about our family! Mostly or all actually of Josie and Dana. I mean who cares about us anymore anyway?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Linda, who takes care of me when mommy and daddy are at work, gave me my first pumpkin with candy. Of course, I can't eat the candy, but I love my soft little pumpkin. Thank you Linda!

I love my toes!

Josie has found her toes in the last week or so. She grabs them whenever she has the chance, even during dinner! (see photo)Tonight was her first night having oat cereal, so she has had rice and oat. We will probably try barley next.

The last week she has developed a lot. She giggles now, she smiles at mommy and daddy all the time. She is now starting to get her own little personality. We are having a lot of fun with her.

A day with friends!

Josie and mommy spent Sunday with our friends Julia and Cyrus. We walked a mile to the Campbell Farmer's Market and had lunch. Josie was very well behaved all day. She knows she has to be a good baby if she wants to convince Julia and Cyrus to make her a friend. :)
Bianca came to meet Josie too!

Lunch with Cyrus, and after a long walk, she pooped out on Julia.

A happy Josie with Bianca.

Alex spent the day building our new roof. He worked very hard and got so much accomplished. Our neighbor Ken has been A LOT of help. Thanks Ken! Ken is in the picture here, but it's hard to see him. It's getting much darker earlier now, so Alex squeezed a lot in this weekend. We are going to call an inspector to come Tuesday and hopefully Alex's framework will get approved. I am sure it will, since Alex only does quality craftsmenship!

Every week - something new!

So, this week Miss Josie tried 2 new things. Her exersaucer and rice cereal. Daddy loved showing her all the different toys on her exersaucer. I am not sure who was having more fun!

Every night we are getting a little more successful with the rice cereal. Hopefully a week from now, she will know to open her mouth when she sees the spoon. We'll see. Right now, a lot of it comes back out as she practices with her tongue and lips. I have some video clip and am trying to learn how to post a video on here. So, keep checking to see if I have figured it out. :)

Messy cereal face.

Two out of 3 ain't bad!

Yeh...our project is WAY underway. You can see our sliding glass door, which is currently where are eating area/kitchen ends. For those of you who don't know, we are adding a 16 x 16 foot room. The wall on the left is framed for 2 windows, 2 x 4 windows, with room for my new hutch in the middle. My mom will be happy to finally give me the china I received for wedding presents that she has been storing. And I promise to have you all over for a dinner using it. The wall on the right is where our new 6 foot sliding door will be. The other picture is where our fireplace and mantle used to be. Alex demolished it and closed it all up in one night, subfloor and all. He was exhausted after that. I look forward to being able to show you all updates as often as they happen. Please just never judge our white trash back yard. IT WILL be beautiful again. For those of you ( my parents, Alex's parents) who have never visited a blog, you can usually click on a picture if you want to see it bigger. Just an FYI

Our dog Bailey too.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on Saturday with Josie's cousins and Grandma. It was a beautiful afternoon and there are so many activities at the Clayton Valley Farm Pumpkin Patch. They have a ton of those cut-outs that you put your face in. Of course I had to put Josie in just about all of them. My family goes to the same patch every year. They have a measuring stick and it's fun to take the kids picture next to the measuring stick year after year.

She's really 26 inches tall.
