My new German toy

Josie received a really cute little German toy from our friends Russ, Bodar and Marissa. Marissa is only 2 weeks younger than Josie. It's a wooden toy that looks like a bouquet of flowers. Each flower has something different in the middle. It's very cute and Josie likes it a lot. Thank you so much Callahan's! In this picture Josie is showing her new toy off. Mommy likes this picture because Josie is sitting with her feet crossed, which mommy thinks is cute. Other big news is we now have Josie saying "ma-ma" on video. It's pretty exciting.

First day in highchair, and new pink car!

Josie had dinner in her high chair tonight for the first time. She's been sitting up all by herself lately. Once in her chair, she loved to pat the tray with her hands which made noise that she liked. She is becoming such a big girl. (boo hoo)

After she ate, can you tell?

On Sunday, Josie's cousin Rachel gave her her pink car. This was a present that Rachel got for her 1st birthday. Josie absolutely enjoyed it. We were all surprised at how well she sat up in it. This spring we will be taking walks with Josie in her car. Can't wait!

Happy New Year!

This year the three of us went to Pacific Grove to visit our friends Mark and Shawna for New Year's Eve. Mark and Shawna are friends of ours from back in our college days in Chico. We had a great time, thanks for inviting us down guys! Josie had a wonderful first New Year's, although she wasn't awake when we celebrated 2007. Here are photos from our trip.

On the way home we stopped at the beach in Pacific Grove, and then we stopped again in Capitola for lunch. The weather was beautiful, hard to believe it was the first of January. There were actually children in the ocean in their bathing suits.
